Personal: raised on a family ranch, raising horses and cattle. Grew up barrel racing, showing in aqha shows, my Mom thought we (me and 3 siblings) should learn about all different disciplines horses can be used for. It really was a blessing just didn’t realize this until I was older. My senior year in high school I qualified for the NHSRF on the sire to all the horses I have ran from 1992-2009, Slim is by him, and now I am competing on his grandchildren. I would say that is what I am the most proud of with the horses is that they have been raised and trained right here at home and I am now on the third generation and they are a very promising group also.
My husband Shawn is the driving force that keeps me going forward and a big part of the success that I have had, without him in the outfit I would have never gone that far from home. Shae, our daughter, born 12-19-01 has been there for the biggest child hood dreams of mine coming true. Shae is the very best and a blessing in every way, I am a better and more grounded person because of her. My parents, two sisters and one brother have all had a hand in helping me to achieve my dreams and goals. I have great partners in Pro Equine and Cactus Saddlery, they both help keep me striving to get better at my chosen profession and I can’t thank them enough for having great products and support.
My idols are Jeanne Anderson for her ability with a horse. Kristi Peterson for her encouragement and she is Kristi 24-7. Terri Kaye Kirkland for her wisdom and drive. Billy Etbauer for his humility and no nonsense attitude.
Mexican is my favorite food. Second Hand Lions favorite movie. Any Magic Tree House book is my favorite, as Shae is in 3rd grade and we read together. My hobbies, I am learning to weld and use an oxygen, acytlen cutting torch, and sewing.
